So, You Want to be a Millennial, Huh?

I feel like the title tells you what you're in for.

So, you want to be a millennial?

A bipolar bi-centennial?

Burdened by crippling debt

But yolo no regret

Trying a whole world of drugs

While everyone else just shrugs

Drinking until your last penny

Cause woes man you’ve got many

So, you want to be a millennial?

A bipolar bi-centennial?

Look to the sky above

But you ain’t gonna see no dove

Are they someone to fear?

Or just another peer?

Crushing the boundaries of gender

Enjoying the internets fucked up splendour

So, you want to be a millennial?

A bipolar bi-centennial?

We all know we can’t afford a house

So just give me enough space for a fucking mouse

Oh, jobs you want one?

Best be quick cause in thirty seconds it’s gone

Pay for your education

Add your voice to that often-angry generation

So, you want to be a millennial?

A bipolar bi-centennial?

Oh, you wanna call her a whore

Well you ain’t that much more

What you see in the news

That’s just another societal bruise

We’re the future of tomorrow

And yet we’re sat here writing poems about our sorrow?

So, you want to be a millennial?

Just another bipolar bi-centennial?
