So-“sea”-a-logical Awakening

I.

Starlight silvered-tears descending in pools

The parhelic circle caresses shores,

Tempting fate to resign from your beauty

Glowing, trickling

II.

When your seas embrace heavenly design,

Begging beyond to bring back yesteryear

Time so pure Angel’s swam in your delight

Slowly, lapping,

III.

Butcher’s prey upon your bountiful depths

Exhumation of our Lord’s treasures deep.

Classes and schools bled for lining pockets

Crimson, crying

IV.

Casting aside hope with nets binding hearts

Sacrilegious predators steel preys’ lives

Slicing souls from bodies already cold

Cutting, gouging

V.

Suffocating weight traps slow beating hearts

Sour stench lifts empty prayers towards heaven

Harvested in droves, listless eyes stare

Peril, baited

VI.

Synchronized dancing of various shades.

Now redressed in greys to engorge heathens.

Pretentious pockets lined generously

Tempted, profit

VII.

Luna stares down; eat your memory

Generations lost, to future’s past

To foreign markets, their bodies sold.

Wanting, seeking

VIII.

Tender is your taste, sating striving lips

Hidden Meggido, aspiring to starve

Your ecosystem self-destructing

Abyss, chaos

IX.

Cyclic indulgence destroys fatefully

For capitals cashing on free will

Will luna cry for us? Or for innocence.

Easy, fiscal

X.

Time shortens per cast, slinging to our graves

Gratification filled for the masses

All will feel the dire, if we don’t restrain

Costly, fatal

Dedicated to Ali Tabrizi for enlightening me through “Seaspiracy” regarding the “So-‘sea’-a-logical” destruction of our oceanic ecosystem. I hope this poem will further reach the hearts of others in this time of crisis.
