So Is the Sky

A Poem

By Novalyn HiviriöPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Blue as a child who's toy is taken

So is the sky

White as an ocean's bubbling foams

So are her clouds

Branches and leaves scattered a veneer of Death on the solid cold Earth below her

Blue as a bride whose grooms runaway

So is the sky

Mellow as the hush of silence

So are her winds

Gentle reminder of the cold as it blows my Hair into my face

Blue as the eyes of my guardian angel

So is the sky

Blue as the words that spill off of sad Tongues

Blue as a lost traveler

So is the sky
