So I heard

The brightness of your darkness

By AZIAKPONO OVWEDEPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

it's you not me.

well maybe it's me,

cos I've seen a lot of you

for my part, it's been clean, bright and light,

The parts of you I've seen.

Perhaps if I had had dark glasses on,

if I had squinted enough against the brightness that I see when I look at you,

then maybe, I could have seen the clearer darkness.

Maybe I would have seen you much darker.

Then, I would have choked on and swallowed the laughter.

Then, I would have listened deeply on the rise and fall of the sound of the choices of the words you chose.

Now it is what it is

Now I am lost in the thoughts I had of you.

I can't seem to connect the person I thought you are and the person I know you are.

I wish not to be this shallow,

But I'm too deep in this shit to care.

Trust me, I'm trying to fill up this deep shit

it's why I am shallow now.

so, I'm throwing everything in it.

I hope you understand.

I know you won't though.

you don't even have to.

it would defeat the purpose if you did.

It struck like a single rain drop.

Out of nowhere

Meaningless and confusing.

No effect,

Just dropping down in the vast world.

it is stupid really.

I know!!!
