Snowmen

One day children will wake on a gray Christmas morning

They will look outside their window to see the sky to be the same smog color it has been for as long as they can remember and as long as their parents remember too

These children will have never heard of a zoo or aquarium outside of their history classes as ways people used to pass time

They will pass monuments to past heroes like David Attenborough, Jane Goodall, and Steve Irwin and know they were people who, at one point, tried to prevent what the world had become

They may even question why the world ended up like this, if people in the past knew this was happening why didn't they do more to stop it?

They don't know it yet but the answer will come from the bell ringing in the distance signaling the start of the work day at their towns data center

But for them it is Christmas so they will go outside

They will meet with their friends, build their snowmen made of white trash bags, an orange highlighter for the nose

They will build many of these snowmen because there is plenty of snow
