An ode to snickers

May I have your attention? I’d really love to kick a bar.

Some slam poetry, an ode to the snickers bar.

You can’t keep me from them, so unhand me.

You can’t deprive me of my favorite bar of candy.

Maybe you don’t like it but don’t knock it.

Life would be dull if we didn’t have this bar of chocolate.

And if you do love it, get yourself a taste.

Move with chocolate haste, there’s no time to waste.

Give a snickers to the angry and you’ll get them right.

It’s for the appetite, so go ahead and have a bite.

Wonka said candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.

But I’ll bet that liquor isn’t quicker than a snickers.
