Smearing the Dark Skies

Breaking the glass ceiling

Laughing in the void

Bringing out all the choices I've made

Sin and guilt rot in me

Stones surround me

My eyes widen

Then I don't feel regret anymore

Just vanity

Creativity is within my hands

But they have tied my hands against my body

Telling me the secrets of blood and flesh

My feet shuffle back and forth

Wondering how they all sleep so well at night

Craving lies within my body and blessed by dark rain

They all used to have halos too, I remembered

I can feel the maggots in my brain

I'm persistent though it all

Carrying my corpse

Making my limbs flop on the floor

They placed medals and jokes for every step

I have to keep smiling even if my skin is mixing with black mold

I'm watching the sky

wondering how far are the starts tonight

how much would it take?

to make the journey and back

Just a little piece of heaven is all I need

For which I am no god

I'm just trying to see how the grass is greener

and if I can't

Let this be my end

Let it be horrible, spectacular, and satisfying

Let this one life created to be a better one

Because I swore I never wanted fate to be this
