Small Beginnings

The future promise from a little green sprout.

Green sprout

I see you there

Just a tiny dot

A minuscule image

You’re barely a jot

Growing and changing

Only a speck of green

Your roots are strong

Though too small to be seen

I can sense you are

Peeking back at me

I’ll care for you

So tenderly

You’ll provide oxygen

I’ll feed and nourish

Breath in your benefits

And watch as you flourish

I’ll give H2O

And keep you hydrated

Fertilize with plant food

Water till you’re sated

For now you remain

One small green leaf

Holding such promise

It’s beyond belief

Soon you’ll bust at the seams

My little green sprout

Climbing and crawling
