A Poem

By Sydney EssexPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

I hold you in my pocket where I try to distance you from my head. I push your judgment down along with everything you’ve said. I wish you would leave me alone, I wish I didn’t have to cry, I wish you didn’t follow me around. Nothing will be rid of you no matter how hard I try. I'm never good enough, everything I do is disastrous. That’s what’s imprinted in my brain. It’s not just me, it’s not just me! Anyone would have gone insane. Why can’t you be satisfied? Are you running away from your fears? The fears of seeing who you actually are, hearing your words with your own ears?
