Sliver Giver

waking

By Harper Lewis Published 15 days ago • Updated 15 days ago • 1 min read

The sliver giver struck again,

peeling off just enough

to resuscitate suffering,

grumbling crumbs,

an inconvenience

to manipulate,

dancing with delusions that

decades of deception

didn’t destroy daughter and dam,

rejecting both,

decimated and done.

The prodigal father‘s

wake of destruction

drowning bloodlines

blooming behind his boat

sailing into the sunset,

a son shining,

highlighting the horizon

of his found family.
