Sleight of Man
Political Distraction and Mass Reaction
Division infects the murmuring hordes,
Ideologies festering into pustules and sores.
Smoke and mirrors reflecting promised actions,
The players perform to the developing factions.
Rhetoric masks their infernal inventions,
Adorns their facades and hides their intentions.
Cloaked in the spectacle of mass attraction,
Toying with the tides of public reaction.
In the shadowy corners, they articulate,
On the chessboard of power, they manipulate,
Navigating carefully, the moves they will make.
