Sleepless Nights

I can't sleep.

By Karri DuperronPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

I can't put my mind to rest.

My eyes are wide open,

My mind is overthinking.

I am daydreaming of my future,

And what things I must get done.

I toss and turn trying to get comfortable,

I fluff my pillows and pull the covers off.

After a while, I finally close my eyes for a second,

But those thoughts come back.

Finally, I give up and I reach for the sleeping pills.

I am lying here waiting and waiting,

Soon enough I doze off.

I can finally sleep,

I sleep till the next sleepless night.
