Escape the quiet

The air is thick like smoke and it is dark like midnight.

The fog has taken over and consumed sky.

Yet in this hour of sleep I am awake listening to the sound the quiet makes.

Is there anyone else that hears the silence screaming. It’s deafening almost painful.

Waves of pure silence.

How much more can my ears take.

When will the sun rescue me. Break through the heavy cloak of darkness and bring the warmth and light so I am no longer alone

But not now, now is time to sleep.
