Sleep

Poetry Hour

By Hannah LorrellePublished 9 years ago 1 min read

In this space beyond consciousness

I am finally at peace.

In the pauses between deep breaths

I have no worries.

In this hazy unawareness

I can just exist,

or cease to exist, for a while.

In this blissful world within my mind

I am without stress.

Hours pass that I am unaware of.

No need for clocks.

No tick tock seconds dragging by.

Time just slips away here.

I roam through the green woods

of my deepest subconscious.

I am free in my mind forest.

I can visit happier times.

Memories of when things were okay.

It's been a while.
