Skin Slayer
For Leslie Write's "What am I?" challenge

Beware the deepest swamps, my friend.
To venture there could mean your end.
A dangerous beast may dwell therein.
He'll take your life and wear your skin.
💀
His feet are big to walk on mud,
And so he will not slip on blood.
His ears hear you a mile away,
And if he does, it's your last day.
☠️
Each bead, he carves from bone he's dried.
One from each conquest, worn with pride.
His axe is sharp, as are his eyes.
He likes to hear his victim's cries.
💀
His look is wild, and he's obsessed
With finding skin for his next vest.
So, if you walk a swamp at night,
You may just disappear from sight.
☠️
