I feel it all over me

covering every millimeter

one finger

brushing against the other

this loose clothing

a terrible mistake

another clash of leg hairs

sending chills up my spine

pressing nails into palms

to joggle my mind

from the pain

of wearing skin

even a light knock

releases the blood flow

and extracts a yelp

so thin and pale

translucent

giving window

into my mind

I've always been

an open book

onionskin leaves

rebound

stolen from

the back of

one hundred

Bibles before

they were tossed

upon a fire

read the pages

inscribed upon my limbs

quickly now

before the rain comes

and my story must be

written yet again
