it seems as close as my own shadow

this feeling, nestling in my bones

but my eyes always fail to follow

in this room here all alone

something shifts, my body feels it

but I don’t notice a single thing

like the walls are closing in

there’s something here with me I think

the windows and doors are nailed closed

yet I feel a chill in the air

I feel a little bit exposed

like eyes are watching everywhere

with no way in and no way out

tell me, what am I afraid of

a whisper feels like it might shout

when your mind is due to come undone

something brushed up right beside me

goosebumps are crawling up my neck

I'm caught somewhere in the sixth degree

wondering what might happen to me next
