A job that must be done

Three days before your birth,

your fate they will decide,

allotted is your time on earth

and how you shall reside.

Clotho spins the thread,

from your first breath to your last,

the youngest of the sisters,

her creativity is vast.

Lahkesis measures the thread,

whether thick, thin or fine,

its strength and sustainability,

will it withstand the test of time?

Atropos, the crone,

bringer of the end,

she snips the thread with finality,

and chooses your last breath.

Do not fear the sisters choice,

it's a job that must be done,

and take solace in the knowledge

that your fate has just begun.
