SIPPING MY TONIC AND GIN

Maybe too many????

 ()()()

I saw at my computer, wary to the bone,

Sipping on my tonic while being all alone.

Trying hard to vivify the words that I put down,

Impugn and edit every word as I sit and frown.

Yes, the umbrage and fatigue begin to take their toll

As I am not going to be a wonk and start to lose control.

It seems I need a halcyon before I blow my cool

And become somewhat glacial and look just like a fool.

I’ll fiddle with this gadget for toady I won’t be …

Perhaps if I bunk down for the night, tomorrow’s problem, I might see.

(unless the hangover makes me think

That perhaps I had just too much to drink!)

For Fun
