What Nightmares Hold

Sandy shores, sleepy sound

Starry skies, seas surround

-

Slumber sweet, sanity

Satin sheet, staticky

-

Supine state, slipping slow

Stealthy snare, such sorrow

-

Something sinister, skewed

Subtle shifting, subdued

-

Shadows skulking, stalking

Sparrows screeching, squawking

-

Sewing stitches, stale soil

Scraping skin, sinner's spoil

-

Storm shakes something sleeping.

STAY! Stauch something seeping.

-

Soaking, sodden. Sputter.

Shudder... shudder... shudder

surreal poetry
