Singing and Tweeting
by Dave Neita
Her face lit one-sided by the half-moonlight
A moon in it’s own right for it brightened the night
Yet the sad side of her face un-illuminated
And her sorrowful story never stated
She sat on the sagging bough bouncing
Whilst softly, a hymn she was singing
The birds did not utter a tweeting
For her voice upgraded their listening
She sang till the sun started rising
then slept on some leaves in the clearing
The birds gave her a chorus all morning
That soothed her heart that was aching
Singing and Tweeting, the cycle continuing
And in the clearing, a circle of healing
