Sincere Life, No Deceit

I won’t wear a mask, I’ll be sincere and true,

I have no hidden intentions, I have a simple life I’ll pursue.

Few complexities, no malice in my heart,

Just peace and kindness, right from the start.

But some may not appreciate the good I do,

They take advantage and leave my feelings askew.

Yet I won’t stoop to play deceitful games,

For in honesty and warmth, I’ll find my aims.

I value friendship, and love over wealth’s allure,

No fear or debts, just a pure heart.

I don’t expect everyone to match my way,

Just be genuine, every day.

No need for trickery, no pretense,

In our interactions, let’s find recompense.

Don’t treat me as a fool, for I see through,

Yet I choose kindness in all that I do.

We all have limits, a temper to control,

I hold back truths, not because I’m dull.

It’s because I care, I hold you close,

Respect our bond, the one I cherish most.

So, don’t pretend or wear a fake facade,

Let’s walk together, not a game of charades.

In our journey, let sincerity lead the way,

And if we part, it’s with kindness, I’ll say.

There is no need for masks, just genuine,

In life’s tapestry, let your real self shine through.

Play not with hearts, nor cause pain and strife,

For it’s in honesty and love that we find life.

This was so optimistic and empowering! Loved your poem!

  • Exactly, no need for masks! But sometimes people forget how to be themselves, society doesn't always encourage self-expression.
