In the kitchen, I stand, ingredients in sight,
Bread, peanut butter, jelly, a simple delight.
Spread thick or thin, the peanut butter goes,
On one slice of bread, a flavor that glows.
Next comes the jelly, sweet and bright,
A colorful swirl, a pure delight.
Together they meet, a perfect pair,
A sandwich so simple, beyond compare.
The first bite, a burst of flavor so sweet,
A childhood favorite, a timeless treat.
Peanut butter and jelly, a love so true,
In every sandwich, a memory anew.
So here's to the sandwich, so humble yet grand,
A duo that always deserves a hand.
Peanut butter and jelly, forever they'll be,
A classic combination, just for me
