breathe in
breathe out
morning light
no doubt
•
find me in the purple haze
the dawn that sets the dark ablaze
•
so much of life feels so uncertain
hold your breath, close up the curtains
•
waiting for the sun to rise
for clarity night can’t disguise
•
hold on
hold fast
listen close
outlast
•
till quiet truth streams through the door–
I’m not a prisoner anymore
•
sit in silence in the pause
before day breaks: the little death
•
then look around, feet on the ground
open your eyes
•
and take a breath

This was great! I loved the metaphor between the sunrise and self-realization. Your command of the imagery in this poem was powerful!
So much beauty in your words… “sit in silence in the pause before day breaks: the little death” Wow.. that struck me! Well done. 🙌🏻♥️
