Silently

We face most things alone

I’m standing on the brink of damnation

All my bridges burned

Silently waiting, for it to be my turn

Long I have stood here

Frozen in place

Silently remembering, all the moments of hate

With an understanding

That nothing can be done

Silently missing, each and everyone

But this is the fate I have chosen

No one else to blame

Silently hating, the fact I couldn’t change

So here I stand in judgment

Awaiting the decree

Silently hoping, that thou has not forsaken me

Though knowing I deserve no forgiveness

Not the slightest reprieve

Silently needing, something to believe

Because it was long ago that I fell

Consumed by desire and greed

Silently searching, for that which I need

Thus I became misguided

Selfish thoughts all my own

Silently traveling into the vast unknown

Without the slightest direction

Vacant of all light

Silently seeking a way through the night
