Flame burning high
Smoke on the rise.
Along for the ride, I surmise.
Deep, electric blue at the base
Growing to a defiant, charged orange.
Fire ablaze, making haste.
Quickly, smoothly
Extinguishing the hue.
Some desperate attempt to undo
What was thought of as past.
Dissipating into the air
Becoming shared.
Forcing itself into life beyond repair.
