Veil of midnight covered the secrets we confessed,
Every breath between us carried something unsaid.
Lost in your laughter, I forgot the morning existed,
Vows became ashes when the distance persisted.
Even now, your shadow sleeps beside my regret,
Tender are the memories I wish I could forget.
