Silencing of the bees

Poisoned or death by poison

Silencing of the bees

The silence of the bee’s poison honey —

A golden sting hidden in amber depths,

Where sweetness drips with a quiet ache,

And the tongue learns sorrow by degrees.

The hive hums no more —

Only the hush of empty combs,

Their hollow chambers still glistening

With a venom that once fed the queen.

A kiss of gold can be a wound,

And every bloom it touched

Now sags beneath the weight

Of silent wings and bitter nectar.

No buzz, no dance —

Just the quiet burn of poisoned honey,

Lingering long after the sting is gone.
