Silence

-*-
Every time I hear the voice
asking questions to no end
I go out and find the spot
where my thoughts perfectly blend.
-*-
Every time I hear the voice
it tells me stories hard to believe;
not because they're fake or wrong
but rather 'cause they are incomplete.
-*-*-
The voice knows only part of the tale
and still will try to move me around;
those efforts are hard, not easy to beat
but losing the fight it's just not allowed.
-*-*-
The spot where I sit gives me peace
for just enough time to open my mind;
I see a clear path and walk it in silence
while the screaming sound is left behind.
-*-*-*-
Every time I live the same trial
I tell to myself it shall be no more;
but I know the chance will always return
and that's a fact I can't just ignore.
-*-*-*-
So, every time I hear the voice
I brace for impact sitting at my spot;
Maybe some day will be the last time
and then a sweet silence will finally drop.
