Everyone wept when my heart went dark,
Capturing the Rapture inside a soul-spark.
Life itself dissolved for three minutes tops;
In which the sky brimmed with God's teardrops.
People flocked from near and far to witness
Sun and Moon trading backflips for kisses,
Except they could not see what they sought.

Very nice take on the eclipse. Well written poem.
I like the weaving of the eclipse phenomenon with the religious theme, and β the sky brimmed with God's teardrops.β is a lovely way of describing impending rain Ameliaπ€
I sure hope they saw what they sought...a miracle for those who open their hearts to newness and wonder. Mend your dark heart...eclipse the negativity. This is lovely.
Backflips for kisses - how sweet! This is lovely.
I love this take on the eclipse challenge! "Sun and moon trading backflips for kisses" has so much impact!!
