Signs of Wonder

(Experiencing Totality)

By Amelia MapstonePublished 3 months ago β€’ 1 min read

Everyone wept when my heart went dark,

Capturing the Rapture inside a soul-spark.

Life itself dissolved for three minutes tops;

In which the sky brimmed with God's teardrops.

People flocked from near and far to witness

Sun and Moon trading backflips for kisses,

Except they could not see what they sought.

    I like the weaving of the eclipse phenomenon with the religious theme, and β€œ the sky brimmed with God's teardrops.” is a lovely way of describing impending rain AmeliaπŸ€—

    I sure hope they saw what they sought...a miracle for those who open their hearts to newness and wonder. Mend your dark heart...eclipse the negativity. This is lovely.
