Signs of an Abusive Relationship

You get told you can’t talk to your guy best friend that you’ve known for seven years, you have to throw away that favorite halter top because it’s too revealing

You have a curfew even though you’re 19.

They always said if a boy was mean to you it’s because he likes you. But that’s not actually the case.

You get told you’re stupid, worthless, retarded, and a waste of life

But you still stay because you love him

Those words turn into bruises.

Bruises black and blue that cover your arms and you have to tell everybody you fell.

He cheats on you

you forgive him.

only because you love him and don’t want to be alone

he thinks it’s okay to do these things so he keeps doing them

Eventually the bruises on your arms turn into bruises on your face, your legs, and your stomach

An abusive relationship can consist of mental, verbal, and physical abuse.

Signs of an abusive relationship

when he constantly calls you, or makes you send pictures of where you are because he doesn’t trust you

But if you get upset that he won’t do the same, there comes with consequences

You’re scared to say anything because you don’t know what can happen

months and months gone by, and you’re still there

because you love him

Taking the hits like a little voodoo doll that just sits on the shelf in the closet just collecting dust until it’s needed

Days gone by, you’re not eating.

You’re not sleeping because you don’t know what will happen in the middle of the night

he comes at 3 AM and starts yelling at you, and he finds you hiding in the shower of the bathroom begging for him to stop

It’s not too late to find help

I know it’s hard to get out

but you are better than that

Just because he hits you and then he has his loving moments

doesn’t mean he loves you

don’t let him damage the pretty skin that god has created

live your life and find yourself a real man

because a real man buys you flowers, holds the door open for you

not throw you around like a ragdoll that was found in the dumpster

A man is not a man if he is mean to you like they said in elementry school

a man is somebody who finds you for who you are

and don’t forget you're beautiful

and live your life they way it was created just for you
