sick society

a poem

I pulled myself so hard

out from the mud, through all the deepest stuff

it required triple winching and fend off vehicle

crane, road closure, and police escort

for they did everything wrong

I had to get it sorted in time

before they claim it’s my fault

all the circumstances being not

in my power

they got themselves into this

looking for us later wriggling like snakes

our strenuous efforts to make it all right

though we often lack

the right people, the right resources

yet we are trying to make up for it

as fast and as best as we can when someone

decided too long ago

that our existence is tarnished

although it could be considered much better

on the other side of story

the one they had never looked into before

but dared to criticise

from a layman’s point of view

I doubt you’ve ever had such a rich spectrum so

stay satisfied with your own restricted view

if you’re so horribly comfortable with it

I won’t stay by your side

perhaps I’m weaker that way, but you know what?

my view is broader, deeper, more informed

and I don’t give a damn about the rest who never condone
