Name: Alex

Age: 27

Occupation: Independent Contractor

Aspiration: To be happy

Date: February 14th 2019-March 7th 2019

Some say grief is love with no where to go, I say it is a shadow.

A shadow of yourself wrapping it's hands around your eyes,

robbing you of seeing hope.

It seeps in your ears, keeping your from hearing kindness.

It forces it's way down your throat, taking your calls for help with it.

I wish you could have been blind to her demise but instead it was the size of your whole heart.

And every year cupid tried to take her but she was the pillar. Unmovable. Unshakeable. Unbreakable, until she wasn't.

And everyday your tears fell on the page searching for his name but he never came and never would and you were alone again.

Abandoned my the father, the son and the spirit as you faltered, the floor beneath you vanished unbothered by your heartbreak.

Pain is not your best friend telling you the truths you hide from, its is those closest to you, hiding from you.

Pain is not saying goodbye to those who have passed, it's saying good bye to those who chose to leave.

And when the weight of her absence began to break your bones, those not of your blood, stood together arm in arm to share that pain, so you could be free again.
