Shore it Up

Stop contradicting your own self.

Want to feel light and happy,

Without processing the darkness.

Want the relationship,

Don’t want to lose freedom.

Want the friendship,

Don’t want to handle conflict.

Want the independence,

Don’t want to face battles alone.

Want the success and fulfillment,

Don’t want to lose anonymity.

Want to fit in,

Don’t want to conform.

Want to be appreciated,

Don’t want envy.

Want to be loved,

Don’t want the hate.

Shore it up,

Just you shore it up.

Of the two,

What do you want more?

Pick one and go for it.

Shore it up, support

This one decision.

Self-contradiction has an

Insidious way of

Stealing your power by

Playing you against you.

Don’t permit this.

Shore it up,

Just you shore it up.
