Shooting Stars

The stars in the night sky

The stars that glisten in the night sky

The calming feeling they bring as you stare into the night

They were everything yet nothing

They appeared for a time but disappear when the sun appears

They were what she enjoyed most about the night sky

The glisten and the sparkle

The known and the unknown of what the stars were

They were her favorite thing up in the sky until they began to fall

They would move closer and further at the same time

Not know what would happen she began to run

Hoping she would out run their destruction

It’s funny how it’s a dying star we all wish upon

The one no longer in the sky is what we desire to see

The shooting star that’s at the end of it’s lie

The stars are what she liked most about the sky

Then they started to fall
