if an alien was visiting, i’d welcome them with love

a smile, curiosity, a wave, and a hug

i would steer them far away from all alcohol and drugs

sugar, violence, money, and clubs

if an alien was visiting, i’d take them to the art

in neighborhoods, museums, libraries, and parks

i would steer them far from things that would just dim their spark

the White House, the media, policemen, to start

if an alien was visiting, i’d take away their map

rip it, stomp it, I’d sigh then give it back

i would steer them far from here, before a ship of them were packed

Cause I wouldn’t want green to become the new Black…
