Author's Notes: Inspired by Tiffany Gordon's poem, "Children of The Light."
As lambs follow the light
Wolves in sheep's clothing try to sneak their way in
To tear apart the light that's gathered forth
To cast shadows from the light, engulfing it in darkness for all its worth
Let the lambs, the sheep, and the rams grow full coats of wool
The Protector's Love protects ourselves, as the wolves will only eat their full
Of the wool that they've bitten and sunk into with their teeth
The wolves, though belly full, will starve and not feast on our meat
For the blood of the lamb shall stay with the blood of its people
Leading us with integrity towards the steeple
For we are not sacrifices met to be placed on an altar
For we sacrifice that which converts us into wolves, making us falter
Not fearing the arrow that flies by day nor the knife in the night
As You say, "We are the 'Children of The Light'..."
