She Wanted to Be Taken

A poem

She wanted to be taken.

Physically. Emotionally.

Engulfed by his vigor.

Completely enraptured.

By his prowess.

To be submissive to his strength.

To his power.

For his love filled her wholly,

to the brim of ecstasy.

She felt it literally.

Yet she felt it figuratively too.

And when he was gone,

She could go mad.

In fact she often did.

Blind with rage.

She was not to be consoled.

For to have felt that intensity,

and to now not have it,

created a yearning,

similar only to the likes of Romeo.

But no, Romeo just would not do.
