She Stood in the Rain

A Poem About a Woman’s Quiet Strength Beneath the Storm and a Crown of Rain

By Kamel SaidaniPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

“She Stood in the Rain”

She stood in the rain, not hiding her soul,

With eyes like the hush where the thunder won’t roll.

No rush in her breath, no fear in her stare,

Just silence that weeps with the weight of the air.

The storm kissed her cheeks, the sky held her tight,

As drops traced the curve of her courage and plight.

No cloak to disguise her, no shield from her pain,

Just a silver-tin crown and a whisper of rain.

Her jacket was soaked but her spirit stayed dry,

A lighthouse of calm in a downpouring sky.

She wore no regret, not a flinch nor a plea—

A girl made of storms who refused just to flee.

So let others run from the tears of the skies—

She faces the gray with the fire in her eyes.

For some find their peace not in sun or in flame,

But standing alone, in the heart of the rain.
