She Is Rich Who Owns the Day
She is rich
Who owns the day
For yesterday is gone
And tomorrow has no say.
She holds today
With such lovingly care
More priceless than any jewel
That we can share.
No car that we drive
Nor house that we reside
Will ever hold more value
Then this day we are alive.
So be grateful I say
And spend every moment with care,
And own the today
The gift that we share.
Poor is the man
That thinks he has wealth
With full pockets
And nil care for his health,
No appreciation of the air
That we breathe in our lungs
Nor the trees nor the songs
The birds have sung.
Fear not him
Nor hate him I say.
But be grateful for the riches
That we each have today
