She Dances Like Thunder

A Flamenca Poem

She dances like thunder,

High flying to the sky

No one will whisper

No breath, so mystified

Captured, captivated.

You can hear her power

Shuddering stilettos

Red flashes in light

Her dance electrified

Sets your heart stark afire.

This moment hers alone

Flowers flowing in silk

Spin dappled delight

She sends to festive flight

Petals pressed tight escape

Across worn wooden floors

Fly with wings of wonder

Thundering embers

Catch the breath just quite kept

Unwitting unaware

She has come to conquer

Deter her if you dare

You cannot now stay

Unconcerned and clueless

Ruthless rustles away.
