She Became the Warrior

She became the warrior she was intended to be

Making brokenness look sublime

And a shattered heart and soul divinely beautiful

As she took on the massive weight

Of the world’s sadness, desperation, and misery

And turned it into majestic silver-tipped wings

Sprouting from the middle of her back

As she soared away from the earthly darkness

That trembled and pulsated around her

Flying to her lover who was patiently waiting

For her to come home

She became the warrior

She became the angel

She became the demon

She made brokenness look beautiful
