It was within the faintest of whispers
Within the softest of sounds
She brought all that was with her
To the sleepiest of towns
She ignited inside
Silently as she went
A fire that burned bright
And upon them she lent
A nightmare within a dream
Something darker than the night
A monster never-before-seen
That held only light
She marched on through
Making sure to disturb
Letting her storm brew
Proud of her work
She bestowed upon them an anger
A fury tied like a rope
As she weighed them down with her anchor
And poured into them a hope
An agony unlike any other
They had ever known
She awoke them from their slumbers
And forced them from their homes
Where they had dwelled in comfort
Where they had lived in ignorance
She severed the parts that hurt
And renewed them their innocence
