Shattered memories, a love now dead,

Dreams that once flourished, now bereft,

Left with only tears, I try to shed.

The laughter that once echoed now has fled,

Replaced with silence, alone, bereft,

Shattered memories, a love now dead.

The pain it brings, it cuts so deep, ahead,

Memories of love, a constant theft,

Left with only tears, I try to shed.

The love that once was, now just ahead,

Washing away, leaving me bereft,

Shattered memories, a love now dead.

So I'll pick up the pieces, try to tread,

The waves of pain, find a love that's left,

Left with only hope, no longer to dread.
