Shapeshifters Rebirth

We sat in the long meadow grass

looking out across that Nordic valley

we didn't need to think about anything

nor utter cumbersome words from our lips.

This was once our home, our sacred place

this beautiful tranquil forgotten place

it was once a fishing village of Nordic people

such a village of caring simple folk, simple but hearts of gold.

For I was your love and you were mine

that beautiful shapeshifter you'll always be

you kept yourself hidden from those mortal eyes

yet I always knew who you were.

Even now hundreds of years on

you play your part well and hide in such plan sight

but no one will ever truly know

that you and he and he is you

a shapeshift every reborn.

But still we come to our first home

its our scared ground

that tranquil place we call our own

no one will know that you and he and he is you

for I'm she that stood beside you

the ever loyal wife protecting you from the venom of our son.
