All of the mucus
swallowed
gathering in the gut.
-
The lumps and swellings
on the constantly
wagging tongue.
sound and fury
-
The future, a towering wave
above a quaking wooden boat -
lost, amidst black clouds
and brown waters.
-
The past, just a splintered oar
or shredded sail,
hanging.
-
All tears now, just
reminders
of when the paint left
behind a carcass.
