On the seventh day, they found it.The city was vast, its stone ruins swallowed by the forest. Vines curled around crumbling pillars, and what was left of the once-great walls jutted from the earth like broken teeth.

There was no grandeur here, no treasure gleaming in the sunlight—only decay and silence. But something felt wrong.Jackson stood at the entrance, a massive archway carved with symbols similar to the ones Grace had been studying.

“This is it,” he said, though his voice lacked the excitement he thought he’d feel. Instead, there was only a cold dread settling over him. Grace, wide-eyed, approached the archway, tracing her fingers along the worn stone.
