Shadows and sparks

A missed day slips through my grasp it’s fading fast

Awakening to a haze, memories lost,

A day of shadows, of moments tossed.

Amidst the blur, a venture with friends,

Their kindness embraced, a gentle fan,

In tales of times that have passed,

Listening and understanding the ebbs and flows.

admiration, now crystal clear,

cool demeanor, drawing near,

Unveiling connections, a friendship gained.

a beacon of time well spent,

moments cherished, laughter lent,

Conversations blossom, weaving ties,

A wonderful presence, a soul that flies.

A spirit, fierce, a flame ablaze,

Life's spark dances in a myriad of ways,

For I know well, this radiant soul, a gift of a Midas touch making all whole.

In the grip of work's consuming strife,

Others fade, eclipsed by life,

Todays chaos, a distraction, a fog,

A mind entangled, thoughts agog.

Todays, a frantic scene,

Friends seeking a ride, a misunderstood dream,

Fear whispered secrets, lurking, unseen,

Yet the mix-up revealed, a light serene.

For the world had not uncovered my plan,

To labor alongside chaos, a clandestine span,

A simple request, a morning's strife,

But overwhelmed, I withdrew from life.
