Shadow of Sorrow
A poem diving into the depths of the grief and sorrow of losing a loved one.
By Kenneth cruzPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Enveloped in darkness since you passed
Consumed by the vast black inky shadow of grief.
Lost is the light of your love.
Into the darkness I’d willingly go.
Pessimistic thoughts penetrate my mind, like a needle poking a pregnant woman’s spine.
Suffocating emotions drain me of life, like a pillow pressed down under a killers might.
Each day I pray for an end to this pain and plight.
