Shades of Me

Some days I feel bright,

like everything is new.

Other days I’m muted,

a boring lifeless hue.

When I feel fluorescent

everything seems fun.

But when the colours get muddy,

everything weighs a ton.

The key is finding balance

between the dark and light.

Somewhere in the pastel shades

everything’s just right.

I paint a new picture of my world

every single day.

to help me find my way.
